(Genève/ESF) – A group of ‘Super Friends’ of the European Scout Foundation’s ‘Friends of Scouting in Europe (FOSE)’ initiative recently met in Athens, Greece, to discuss the Foundation’s fund-raising agenda and to identify additional sources of income.

FOSE Super Friends Meeting in Athens (September 2011)

The ‘Friends of Scouting in Europe’ initiative is the most successful project of the Foundation and an ideal platform for current and former Scouts from across Europe wishing to demonstrate their support of the aims and mission of Scouting. The funds raised by FOSE enable the Foundation to regularly contribute to the further development of Scouting in Europe, with particular emphasis on projects initiated by National Scout Organisations in Central and Eastern Europe. ‘Super Friends’ are members of FOSE who have already donated substantial funds.

Detailed information about European Scout Foundation, the projects supported by FOSE, as well as about the Annual Gatherings are available on the website of the European Scout Foundation. And should you wish to join FOSE and the large family of Scouts supporting Scouting in Europe, that’s easy: just fill in the membership application form!
