World Organisation of the Scout Movement/Asia-PacificRegion in collaboration with Gerakan Paramuka of Indonesia which is celebrating its 50th yearanniversary is organising an International Seminar Environment Education and Biodiversity on 4-7 June 2011.

The importance of the environment to Scouting was highlighted at the 37th World ScoutConference with the resolutions on environment education and sustainable development. Inresponse to these resolutions, the World Scout Environment Programme was adopted.

We urge all National Scout Organisations to send participants to the first International Seminar onEnvironment Education and Biodiversity in Asia-Pacific Region.
