Yesterday, the participants of the 12th World Scout Youth Forum currently taking place in Rogla, Slovenia, elected the six new Youth Advisors to the World Scout Committee for the period 2014 to 2017. One of them, Jérémy Apert, from Scouts et Guides de France, and member of the European Region External Relations and Funding Working Group was appointed Chairperson of the 13th World Scout Forum.

The six Youth Advisors to the World Scout Committee to serve for the period of 2014-2017 are:

  • Jérémy Apert (France)
  • Montaser Hosny Abdelmaged (Egypt)
  • Luis Antonio Aguayo Miranda (Mexico)
  • Máire Fitzgerald (Ireland)
  • Daiana Neil (Argentina)
  • Maeed Mohamed Zahir (Maldives)

Congratulations on all newly elected Youth Advisors and to the eight other candidates who had also decided to make available their talents and experiences for World Scouting.

Two of the new Youth Advisors, Máire (from Scouting Ireland) and Jérémy (from Scouts et Guides de France), are from Scout Associations in the European Regions. Like you, we are eager to learn more about Máire’s and Jérémy’s new roles and which objectives they and their fellow Youth Advisors may have set for their three-year mandate.
