(WSBERO/Geneva) – Six weeks from now some 250 delegates and observers representing 41 National Scout Organisations and 70 National Scout Associations in the European Region of the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM) will gather in Berlin, Germany, for the 21st European Scout Conference. A similarly sized group of representatives from the Member Organisations in the Europe Region WAGGGS will also be in Berlin for the 14th European Guide Conference. And together, about 500 representatives of Scouting and Guiding in Europe will meet for joint sessions as 14th European Guide Conference Scout.

“The European Scout Conference is held every three years”, explains David McKee, Regional Director of the European Region of WOSM, “It is the general assembly of our Region and plays an important role in the life of our Movement. For example, the Conference discusses and approves the new Regional Scout Plan and elects the six members of new Regional Committee.”
