(JUNÁK/Praha) – You are member of a Rover or Ranger unit in Austria, Poland, Slovakia or Romania? You have not made up your plans how to spend this summer? Then hurry up and register for what will no doubt be a unique and memorable adventure: convince your friends and join JUNÁK’s Explorer Belt 2013 adventure!

“The Explorer Belt has become a well known challenge for Rovers and Rangers in Europe”, explains Petr Macek, from Junák’s International Department, “and our 2013 edition in Romania again promises to offer its participants a unique adventure, a challenging exploration and a memorable expedition into unknown territory.”

And for the first time JUNÁK, the National Scout Organisation in the Czech Republic, is inviting Rovers and Rangers from for other Central European countries to join in. Four Rangers or Rovers from Austria, Poland, Slovakia and Romania are welcome and will form mixed teams with members from JUNÁK.

“During their expedition, the different teams will be in close contact t with the local community in Romania. They will get accustomed to local traditions and ways of life and will discover the beauties of Romania nature and heritage”, says Petr.

Like similar Explorer Belt adventures elsewhere in Europe, this expedition will not be a sportive competition but rather present an opportunity to young adults to experience different ways of travelling in a foreign country without the support of modern technologies.
