(Jakarta/GP Indonesia) – You and your Rover Scouts are still looking for a challenging and empowering opportunity for next year? Then the “International Peace Camp 2013” is perhaps THE answer!

In cooperation with the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), Gerakan Pramukan, the National Scout Organisation in Indonesia, is in the middle of finalising the programme of the “International Peace Camp 2013”, which will bring together 500 Rover Scouts (male and female) from all over the world at the Cibubur National Scout Campsite, in Jakarta, Indonesia.

It is planned that 260 Scouts will come from different parts of Indonesia and 40 participants from each of the six Regions of WOSM.

During their one-week camp (from 24 to 31 March 2013), participants will experience a variety of activities ranging from adventure trails to Scouting skill workshops, from Global Development Village projects to educational tours. A major programme element will be the International Peace Village, where activities will focus on peace, tolerance and dialogue.

The full camp fee (including necessary equipment) as well as local transport in Indonesia will be covered by a “Messengers of Peace” grant, which means that you and your fellow Rover Scouts, as participants, will only have to finance your travel to and from Indonesia!

More detailed information is available in the invitation letter (page 1, page 2).
And to make sure you are among the 40 lucky Rover Scouts from your Region: here are the Application and other relevant forms (draft programme , application form, medical form).
