In the first weekend of 2012, Scouting Ireland received tailored support from the European Scout Region in order to take the first steps to create a partnership with a partner NSO from Africa. With support from the Partnerships with Other Regions Working Group, a group consisting of staff and volunteers from Scouting Ireland discussed the different possibilities for a partnership.

The group now have several things to investigate before identifying and contacting a potential partner. The next milestone will be taking place in Paris, in March, during the Partnership Event.

Is your organisation also interested in starting a partnership but don’t know where to start? Then contact the regional office for support, amasson@scout.org!
