The Verband Christlicher Pfadfinder und Pfadfinderinnen (VCP), one of the National Scout Associations in Germany, is hosting the meeting of the Overture Network this coming October. The Overture Network encourages Scout and Guide Associations across Europe to open up their groups and to facilitate the reaching-out to children and young people originating from ethnic or other minority groups, including those with special needs. It meets twice a year, with a different National Scout Association hosting and organising each event.

For the 3-day meeting in Berlin, again an interesting programme has been put together, ensuring that participants have plenty of opportunities to exchange experiences and learn more about latest trends about reaching-out, inclusion, diversity or migration and how Scouting and Guiding should address these issues. The event offers a variety of training and workshop sessions but also includes field trips allowing participants to see how theoretical concepts are run in practice at different projects in Berlin and Brandenburg.

For more details, including the programme outline, please check information available on the Overture Network website. To ensure your participation, please register online.
