If this sounds ‘Spanish’ to you, it’s already one good reason to travel north next year! Because it is actually Icelandic. And it’s the motto of next year’s InterNational Jamboree in Úlfljótsvatni, 40 km north of Reykjavík, the capital city of Iceland.

It took only five years for the Founder’s ideas to travel across the Atlantic Ocean from Great Britain to Iceland. Scouting is therefore celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2012 and how better doing so than by inviting Scouts and Guides from across Europe and the world to discover the volcanic island next summer. Participants will discover a century full of Icelandic Scout and Guide tradition, songs, badges, campfires, aquatic activities, rock climbing and other nature adventures, Jamboree atmosphere, international friendships.

A hundred reasons to join the big birthday party! Make sure that ‘The Magic Continues’ (that’s the Camp’s motto in English) and plan your next year’s summer camp in Iceland from 20 to 29 July 2012! For more details, check out the information flyer, the camp’s website or follow its social networking channel.
